We are currently seeking an entry-level Research Analyst to conduct research, provide analysis and produce written reports of economic and industry conditions for use in business valuation reports. Additional projects and duties will be assigned on a case by case basis and may include various aspects of financial analysis. The ideal candidate has excellent written and oral communications skills and enjoys learning about a broad array of topics. Research is collected from publicly available government economic and industry sources, private databases, journals and trade associations. Analysis is written in concise, easy to understand language and utilizes charts and figures to illustrate trends. The work is project-based, in a deadline driven environment requiring a high level of accuracy. The Research Analyst must be highly self-motivated and capable of independently managing time and tasks in a high-volume production setting.
Candidates should have the demonstrated ability to work independently and with others in project-based teams and be comfortable asking questions and receiving feedback to ensure quality control. This position is collaborative and assists an array of staff members and projects. The candidate should be comfortable utilizing internet-based research methods, navigating databases and developing and supporting fact-based conclusions. Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in programs such as MS Word and MS Excel, Adobe Acrobat and databases such as S&P Capital IQ.
- Undergraduate degree
- Excellent analytic, writing and organizational skills
- Ability to keep abreast of relevant economic and industry conditions
- Related work or educational experience is a plus.
