Rapid Response-IT Specialist

Job Description

The IT Specialist is responsible for supporting the end-user with IT-related issues for on-site clinic health units or events for Government contracts for rapid deployments to support emergency and disaster efforts. This is a temporary position and length of assignment may vary based on operational needs and client requirements. This position reports to the Site Lead at the on-site clinic health unit.

Supports end-users with IT-related problems in a responsive and service-oriented manner.
Sets up manages and maintains IT-related equipment.
Monitors backup jobs and ensures a high level of completion success rate.
Helps put processes in place to maintain a stable network environment.
Trains staff with IT-related equipment and software.
Assists with the troubleshooting, installation, and implementation of systems.
Maintains hardware and software maintenance agreements to ensure the integrity of operations processes.
Performs duties in a safe manner.
Follows the corporate safety policy.
Participates and supports safety meetings, training, and goals.
Ensures safe operating conditions within the area of responsibility.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Job Requirements

High diploma or equivalent.
Experience working in an Information Technology setting.
Able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and communication skills.

Proficiency with computer and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products required.
Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, organized, and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
Location of services may at times be in remote, austere or challenging environments.
Must be able to perform duties in a stressful and high paced environment without physical limitations.
Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements to include potential shift changes based on operational needs and/or command priorities.

Bachelor's Degree.
2 years relevant IT systems and networking experience.
2 years relevant IT Management experience.
2 years Data Management experience.

Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to Ascend/descend stairs.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Able to withstand changing environmental conditions with the weather (rain, heat, lightning, and winds).
Able to withstand and manipulate through construction areas, sports fields, etc.
