Public Relations and Advertising Coordinator Job Description

The Public Relations and Advertising Coordinator enhances positive public awareness of the company’s brand, focuses on external communication strategies and the execution of all ads and collateral from conception to execution, while maintaining the brand integrity of Southern Homes and increasing leads and prospects.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Increase leads by quarter YOY
  • Increase prospects by quarter YOY
  • Develop, propose, stay within, and maintain up-to-date advertising budget
  • Review against approved budget and contracts and submit invoices for approval
  • Research, propose, and execute approved advertising opportunities that fit our target audiences
  • Negotiate advertising contracts with vendors
  • Create all forms of ads, both traditional and digital, video, and print materials from conception to execution and placement
  • Formulate plans and strategies to announce and generate excitement for new communities, plans, offerings, and more
  • Identify print and online publications and submit content in order to generate greater exposure
  • Create content for and publish approved news releases, speeches, website copy, brochures, blog posts, and other PR copy
  • Proofread and revise internal and external communications
  • Plan and supervise Southern Homes’ community grand openings, model grand openings, realtor events, and other lead-generating events
  • Plan and execute community events presence and effectiveness
  • Manage sponsorship requests, approved sponsorship needs of sponsored organization
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets
  • Manage media relations and requests
  • Further develop and update the Southern Homes photo library
  • Coordinate and supervise quarterly photo shoots
  • Propose names for new communities, draft community logos, and design community signs
  • Work with marketing team to achieve required goals
  • Other tasks as required
REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, public relations, journalism, communications, or similar field with related experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Photoshop and InDesign
  • Ability to work on big strategy plans as well as day-to-day tasks
  • Deadline-oriented with great follow-up and reporting skills
  • Ability to run PR and advertising campaigns that deliver measurable results and meet objectives
  • Exceptional organizational skills
