Program Coordinator (Healthy Aging)


SCOPE: The Program Coordinator is responsible for providing motivational interviewing to program participants, maintaining program records and data, monitoring all service reports and billings and the development of health education, promotional materials, and newsletters. Participates in planning, implementation, and evaluation of the programs to ensure efficient delivery of service.

  • Provides motivational interviews for participants enrolled in the Healthy Moves for Aging Well program.
  • Communicates concepts of the Healthy Aging programs to participants, host agencies and other community groups and ensures compliance with federal guidelines and local project policies and procedures.
  • Develops health education and program promotional materials.
  • Develops newsletter for the Healthy Aging Program.
  • Instructs other Healthy Aging classes as needed.
  • Provides staff support to the Healthy Aging program staff and partner agencies.
  • Assist in preparing data and reports for the Healthy Aging programs.
  • Maintains budget records for all healthy Aging programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Associate's degree in gerontology or related human services/fitness/dietary field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of computer operations including Excel, Publisher, Microsoft Word and database programs.
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s license, proof of insurance and own transportation.
  • Experience in exercise prescription preferred.
  • Certification as a personal trainer helpful.

Type: Full Time.

Salary: $16.39 per hour.

Work Schedule: Full Time: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
