The University of Virginia Physicians Group has a part time opportunity (2.5 days per week) for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in our Adult Comprehensive Bleeding Disorders Treatment Center/Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) within the Division of Hematology/Oncology UVA Health System in Charlottesville, VA.
ASPIRE TO WORK WITH THE BEST. In this role you will have the opportunity to assist in providing clinical services to adult patients with hemophilia, von Willebrand disease and other rare bleeding and thrombotic disorders, working closely with the adult hematologists who direct the clinic. This position is a unique opportunity that combines working closely with our patients and families affected by bleeding disorders with some administrative and research opportunities.
ASPIRE TO PERFORM AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL. Requires successful completion of Bachelor’s degree in related field and Nurse Practitioner Degree or Physician Assistant training, VA NP or PA license and DEA with 1-2 years’ clinical experience in Hematology desirable; clinical experience in management of patients with bleeding disorders preferred. Experience utilizing a personal computer and computerized scheduling and current BLS and PALS also required.
