POSITION SUMMARY: Member Services Administrator – Full
Time - Non Exempt
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Learn, demonstrate, and apply a strong understanding of association knowledge to analyze and solve problems, inform and educate members and nonmembers on association services, and build loyalty by communicating the full value of membership.
Resolve problems by clarifying issues; exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; and escalating unresolved problems.
Coordinate Membership dues, travel reimbursement, general invoicing questions, and requests for resources; investigate and resolve member problems and disputes in a timely and efficient manner.
Assist with activities related to member benefits: provide best practices, maintain communications including newsletters, social media and via the CCHI website, track all staff’s technical assistance, etc.
Conducts outreach to assist in member recruitment and retention by communicating the benefits of membership to current, lapsed, former and new members.
Serve as primary liaison for association members, including handling membership issues/questions and managing member information – via phone, email correspondence, online member portal, or other methods.
Serve as the liaison between CCHI, and it’s 40 /- local members to ensure timely processing of all membership related activities on members’ behalf.
Ensure the integrity of data entered into CCHI’s membership records database, including applications, status changes, address changes and much more.
Work with the Health Access Assister Network, including updates, tracking of trainees, and coordinating and providing trainings support.
Plan/coordinate CCHI’s meetings, including Membership, Assister’s calls, Regional Meetings.
Plan conferences and other events throughout the year as needed.
Track and ensure progress on grant objectives.
Complete training and certification programs as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BA or BS; with a minimum of 2-3 years of combined non-profit administration, event planning, or health care enrollment experienced; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certified Application Counselor (CAC) or Certified Enrollment Counselor (CEC) Certification a plus.
Interest and ability to travel and work throughout California as needed.
Bi-lingual in Spanish (oral & written) preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in oral and written forms.
Must possess a professional and friendly attitude and be able to quickly develop a rapport with members over the phone.
Ability to work independently, follow established time-lines and anticipate needs of CCHI staff and members.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
Strong work ethic and self-starter, able to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced environment.
Enthusiastic, demonstrates a high degree of initiative, results-oriented.
Sensitivity toward cultural, racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic diversity, and ability to navigate different points of view and communication styles within non-profit work environment.
Ability to learn and navigate new software quickly.
Strong organizational skills and discipline to track and document all activities with members.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a computer for extended periods.
Move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Raising and lowering objects between 10-30 pounds (Audio visual equipment & outreach materials).
Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
Ability to travel (required) for program meetings/activities.
CCHI is a small team, collegial working environment.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
45,000 -50,000 yearly based on experience.
