District Sales Manager - South Florida

Job Brief

The District Sales Manager- Direct Sales role will cover the North Texas territory for our Golf Car Group. This role will provide organized sales efforts to golf facilities and represent Yamaha in the local PGA section events and education seminars.

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a District Sales Manager – Direct Sales to join our Golf Car team inSouth Florida. The District Sales Manager – Direct Sales role will cover South East Florida Territory for our Golf Car Group. This role will provide organized sales efforts to golf facilities and represent Yamaha in the local PGA section events and education seminars. This position requires an outstanding self-motivated individual with great communication, presentation and organizational skills.


Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Efficiently schedule, coordinate and work with key decision makers at both current Yamaha Accounts, as well as competitive accounts, to continue to grow Yamaha’s Market-Share and continuously improve customer satisfaction.

  • Develop and maintain current Yamaha business, as well targeting and closing new fleet business opportunities.

  • Manage the entire sales process from the initial lead generation, through the Sales Presentation & Demonstration of the car, composition of the Proposal, guidance through Leasing Approval, and Delivery / Set-Up of the New Fleet.

  • Participate in the local PGA Section events, seminars, etc, to help further expose the Yamaha brand.

  • Provide reports as needed, manage databases, records, and goals.

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers to provide a high level of service.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent. College degree is preferred but not necessary.

  • 3 years of prior sales or sales management experience.

  • Experience with the golf industry or PGA professionals preferred.

  • Proficient computer skills, with basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Must be able to travel extensively and be able to work overtime on a regular basis, including weekends.

  • Must be able to load golf cars, climb up and down small objects and lift a moderate amount of weight.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain company issued credit cards for travel expenses.
