Family Health La Clinica, a Federally Qualified Health Center, serving Wisconsin’s Migrant Seasonal Agricultural Worker (MSAW) is seeking to hire Community Health Educators. These positions will be limited term (6 months) and grant funded, with a focus on providing prevention education and outreach services to reduce the risk and slowing the transmission of COVID-19 within Wisconsin’s Migrant Seasonal Agricultural Worker (MSAW) population and their employers. Will work within a team to deploy initiatives to bring education, resources and guidance to partners, agricultural farms, and migrant camps to support the MSAW’s during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Travel up to 50% of time in the field working with Wisconsin partners, growers and the MSAW population. When not working onsite, the position can work remotely from most locations in Wisconsin. Full time, temporary up to 6 months. Willing to consider summer months only in order to fit for college students.
Qualifications: Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required. Some post-secondary education in Public Health, Social services or a health care related program strongly preferred but not required. Experience with occupational or health education and /or health screenings is also desirable. Experience working with Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Workers is desirable. Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License. Bilingual (English and Spanish) language is required.
