This position will be responsible for the research participant recruitment process for the Indiana Alzheimer Disease Center and affiliated studies including those in the IU Center for Neuroimaging. This position coordinates all recruitment activities of the IADC and related studies. This will include ensuring that recruitment deliverables and goals are met by directly recruiting participants, working with other IADC staff involved in recruitment, screening and scheduling, interacting with CTSI RESNET and other recruitment services and by representing the IADC at select local healthcare related events. This position will interview and screen potential participants, review medical records to determine eligibility, and track results.
Bachelor's degree in science or health-related field and one year of health-related or research exprience; OR Bachelor's degree in any field/Associate's degree in allied health professions and three years of health-related or researc expreince or two years of experience in clincial research.
Familiarity with dementing illnesses and age-related medical conditions. Analytical skills to make quantitative and qualitative observations. Knowledge of good clinical research practices. High level of communication, organizational skills, compassion, cultural sensitivity, and emotional intelligence. Able to track and perform multiple tasks. Integrate new information into recruitment procedures. Work effectively as part of a team and execute independent judgment. Possess knowledge of or aptitude to learn relevant state and federal regulations. Conscientiousness. Ability to effectively work with geographically disparate teams.
Clinical Research Certification. Two years of experience of recruiting for clinical research studies.
Attendance, ability to move between buildings on campus, communicating, writing, handling research data, remaining in a stationary position for extended periods.
