The Life Enrichment Director is responsible for the full time planning, organizing, directing, coordination and evaluating of the Life Enchrichment programs to meet the creative, social and recreational needs of the residents.
Will have primary responsibility for the organization, conduct and evaluation of planned activities.
Plans, directs, coordinates and implements a social Life Enrichment program seven days a week. Utilizes computer systems available to department.
Meets the residents needs and interests, taking into account abilities and physical limitations. Will assess residents social and leisure Life Enrichment preferences.
Participates/facilitates in support group activities. Maintains accurate and timely records. Participates in the residents plan of care and team meetings related to resident issues.
Operates Equipment such as motor vehicle, DVD players, P.A. systems, projection systems, etc
Establishes department goals with the Executive Director and sets priorities to complete those goals
Prepares and facilitates monthly newsletter.
Familiar with psychological needs of the geriatric resident.
Must have 2-3 years direct experience working with the elderly in a social or recreational program, be knowledgeable in evaluation resident needs, and supervising other employees and training volunteers.
Must be able to pass full background check.
